Did you hear about the rose the grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature’s law is wrong it learned to walk without having feet, Funny it seems, but by keeping it’s dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared. -Tupac Shakur

Kiyanna Johnson, as known as, Concrete Rose, has many hats in crafting.  Not only is she the editor-in-chief and founder of this particular site, but she also creates phenomenal art. Oakland, California is her hometown and where her creative mind surfaced. This 23 year-old visionary  has created an avenue for herself to explore various parts of creativity through paintings, sketches, and etc.  Although, she just started stroking the paintbrush recently this past summer, Concrete Rose has never felt more alive in her element.

“Art is a relief of concealed emotions I never talked about. It is shown through what I create, what I’m feeling- what I go through,” she says.

Currently, Concrete Rose is pursuing a degree in Journalism and a minor in Multimedia Design at Central Michigan University.  So far, her art has not only captured her eyes, but other friends and family, as well. With so much creativity, she believes she will be able to reach the impossible with her work.
