Marcus Deshaun McCrear (born November 23, 1997), better known by his stage name Quari Banks, is an American hip hop recording artist from Detroit, Michigan. His stage name, Quari, is an acronym which stands for Quite Unique And Respectively Idolized. Quari began writing music at the age of 12, and has released multiple projects since 2010, but decided to remove them all due to his new finding as an artist. Quari has performed at multiple schools, talent shows, birthday parties, and even over the radio, rapping for his hometown idol, Big Sean on Sirus XM Radio. Later on in 2013, he reconnected with Big Sean and received his personal email to send music for review. Quari has a style that is different than artist in the industry with his wordplay, storytelling, and connection to real life experiences. His influences are Drake, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and, the most influential artist to him as a person, Kanye West. Quari is a versatile artist who’s looking for, not just a record deal, but a group of people who will see the overall potential in him, and work with him to become a better artist throughout his career. As the 18 year old continues to write and record his own music in his mother’s basement, and networking his way into the industry while attending college, he has an ambition to become one of the greatest influences to ever live.
