Isan Francis, an artist from Flint, MI,  started his journey with music during his childhood. His mom read Dr. Suess books to him and that sparked his curiousity on rhyming.  The way the words jumped out entrigued him to start rhyming on his own. Once rap came into play, Isan knew he could starting writing in this style.

Isan worked expeditously in the city of Flint. For three years, his activisism and poetry was apart of RaiseItUp youth arts and awareness program, partnering Danielle Horton (spoken word artist) along the way. He also worked with Mama Soul and performed at Justice4Flint, which was a musical showcase held in Flint sponsored by Creed Director Ryan Coogler. featuring Janelle Monae , Jasmine Sullivan , Musiq Soulchild & Vic Mensa. 

Currently, Isan is attending Central Michigan University pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting. He hopes his major will be a huge platform for various plans he will want to pursue in the near future.
